Support
Something wrong? Let's fix it.
Got Stripes is made by one person, and support is answered by that same person. Most things below you can sort out yourself in under a minute — anything else, email and you will get a real reply.
Quick fixes
Paid, but Pro is locked
Open Settings → Restore Purchases in the app. This re-checks your Apple ID and is the fix in almost every case, including after changing phones.
Content looks out of date
Corrections ship over the air. Force-quit the app and reopen it twice — the first launch downloads the update, the second runs it.
Audio will not play
Case-law narration is a Pro feature and needs a connection the first time each track is played. Check the silent switch and that you are on Pro.
A redeem code will not work
Use Settings → Redeem Code in the app rather than the App Store. Codes are single-use and tied to a region.
Purchases and subscriptions
All billing is handled by Apple. We cannot see your card, charge you, or issue a refund directly.
- Cancel or change a plan — iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Got Stripes. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the paid period.
- Free trials — Monthly and Annual both begin with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged if you cancel before it ends.
- Lifetime — a one-time purchase that never renews. If you bought it at an earlier price, later price changes do not affect you.
- Refunds — handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you think it was unfair, email us and we will take a look.
Progress and data
There is no account and no cloud sync. Your progress, streaks and bookmarks live on the device.
- Reset everything — Settings → Reset Progress in the app.
- New phone — study progress does not transfer, but your purchase does. Install the app and use Restore Purchases.
- What leaves the device — anonymous product-analytics events and crash reports only. The privacy policy sets out exactly what those contain.
Report a content error
This one matters more than anything else on the page. Got Stripes paraphrases real New Jersey law, and a wrong paraphrase is the worst kind of bug this app can have.
If a statute number, grading, element or holding looks wrong, email support@gotstripes.app with:
- Where you saw it — module and the citation shown
- What it says now, and what you believe it should say
- Your source, if you have one to hand
Verified corrections are pushed over the air, usually without needing an App Store update.
Got Stripes is a personal study aid and is not endorsed by any agency, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, the Police Training Commission, or any prosecutor's office. Always verify against the official source before relying on anything for an exam answer, an arrest decision, a report or testimony. Nothing here is legal advice.
Device support
Got Stripes is built for iPhone and requires iOS 15.1 or later.
It will install and run on an iPad in iPhone compatibility mode, but the layout is designed for a phone and we would not yet describe it as an iPad app. If a proper iPad layout would make a difference to how you study, say so in an email — it genuinely helps decide what gets built next.
There is no Android version and no web version at present.
